Accreditation/Quality of Care

Overview

The Quality of Care department ensures a variety of medical services/facilities meet quality and safety standards. This includes facility accreditation*; registration of radiation equipment, monitoring of laboratory performance, approval for ECG interpretation, and education and monitoring of infection prevention and control practices in physician offices.

*Services provided in facilities owned or operated by a federal or provincial government or Alberta Health Services are not subject to accreditation by the College except where included under contract.
